Thomas GC did an amazing job renovating our Heights home. We fell in love with the bones of our late 19th century house and while much of it was in good shape, it definitely needed to be updated. Thom and his crew helped us keep the charm of the original architecture, restoring and reusing details like balustrades, spindles and fireplaces, while helping us update the kitchen, add some much-needed insulation and better duct work, and moved a few walls without destroying the lines of the house. The crew was always courteous, left the space clean, and stayed reasonably on-time and on-budget for a full house overhaul. They created columns that look original to the house, refinished the original floors spectacularly, and added an ensuite bath and gracious closet space to our master bedroom that looks like it has always been here. The team is also great about following up after the work is done to make sure things continue to function well. Beyond the work, Thomas GC provided organized itemized bills and handled the building department paper-work and all inspections with finesse. We're happy to recommend them.

What we really liked about Tom was that he is a problem-solver. He found creative solutions to some tricky problems that worked within our budget. He completely renovated our kitchen and bathroom and we have used him several times for other projects in our home. Also, he and his team were very nice to work with and are quick to respond.

I can say without reservation that I trust Thomas Shinn with my house--all aspects of it! He is knowledgeable, reliable, and very timely. The best part is that you have solace of knowing that the job will get done on schedule and get done well. Often times, Tom might even complete the job ahead of schedule. How awesome is that! Tom and his crew are as hard-working and professional as they get and I trust them with home.
In addition, Tom is always personally available--before, during, and after the project. If he makes any suggestions, it's driven by your best interests in mind. He takes personal interest and supervises constantly--he is on site, he takes pictures of the day's work and emails it to you, and he talks to you about concerns/questions you might have during the job.
